Recently booked by Piper for Hire to perform magnificently at the Rugby Heineken Cup final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff (May 2006), the St Andrews Pipeband of Cheltenham are a social pipe band - featuring established pipers such as co-founder Pipe Major I Willox alongside various pipers of all ages.
Founded in 1983, they have competed as a Grade 4 band when with the RSPBA, and now have regular annual piping engagements with Chipping Campden Robert Dovers Games, RBL Stow in the Wold Remembrance Parades, Boys Brigade and Scout Parades, with Carnivals at Wroughton, Pershore and Chalford - in the area of Gloucestershire.
Available for all functions - ideal for festivals, parades, highland games, corporate events - the St Andrews Pipeband can scale down to a mini pipe band of 3, and go right up to a full 26 strong band in uniform.
